GRID IRON Series with Deanne: Parade Day
Come find out how easy it is to use the grid to create super cute projects. We're going to do a series of Patriotic Projects to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of America's birth. We're going to make the most adorable and patriotic projects to decorate your home this year. This wall quilt finished approximately 36" square. :)

| Requirements: | You do not need prior experience with the easy piecing grid. Come to class and you'll find out how easy it is to use! Bring your sewing machine, foot pedal, and basic sewing supplies. You'll need some coordinating fabrics in patriotic colors to complete your project. A supply list is available at the store. Please bring 2 1/2" squares of red, white, and blue fabrics to make your project. These numbers are approximate for what you'll need: Red: 60 - 2 1/2" squares in various prints (Total yardage is approximately 1/3 yard) White: 20 - 2 1/2" squares in various prints (Total Yardage is 1/8 yard) Blue: 35 - 2 1/2" squares in various prints (this will allow you to use the same fabrics in the stars and the flag star square - or you can mix and match to make it your own. :) (Total yardage is 1/8 yards) Truck: Pick your color :) - 75 - 2 1/2" squares in one color (or you could use a variety) (Total yardage is 3/8 yard) Headlights: 3 - 2 1/2" squares - I used a blue stripe, but you could choose yellow, etc. :) (Total yardage is 1/8 yard ish) Tires: Black/or your choice :) - 22 - 2 1/2" squares (Total yardage is 1/8 yard) Background: 230 - 2 1/2" squares - white or a low volume fabric :) (Total yardage is 1 yard) 18 x 18 square of Grid Interfacing - we have it here at the store :) PLEASE HAVE ALL FABRIC CUT OUT PRIOR TO CLASS TO SPEED THINGS UP. :) ALSO, PLEASE USE A ROTARY CUTTER AND RULER TO ENSURE ACCURACY FOR OUR PROJECT. If you have your own iron and small ironing table, please bring it as it will help you move along on your project rather than waiting for a turn with the iron. :) |
